Touch DNA is collected in vials ready for lab processing to minimize manual handling. Touch DNA samples are captured from different surfaces using the nib attachment. The evidence surface is wetted with buffer. Cells are collected on the surface of the nib, while solubilized DNA is collected in the vial. When the sample has been collected the nib is placed in a labeled vial and the liquid vial is detached and labeled for transportation to the lab. Once the nib and vial are received at the lab they are processed using standard laboratory procedures. The nib requires no cutting and is inert to all extraction buffers.
Refill Kit includes Nibs, vacuum adapters, tips and vials for the collection of 96 Touch DNA samples.
A Replacement Vacuum Handle is also available.
