Each Stepping Plate has a transparent surface, which enables examiners to see potential evidence directly beneath the plate, so no evidence is missed. By using Stepping Plates, a pathway can be created through the scene, maximizing the opportunity to preserve and collect evidence. Scene examiners can demonstrate to the satisfaction of a court of law that professional standards have been followed in the prevention of cross-contamination. Replaceable rubber feet prevent damage to the crime scene environment and can be submitted for trace evidence collection.

The stepping plate kit comes in a durable storage case and includes fourteen 6" x 133⁄4" and sixteen 133⁄4" x 133⁄4" stepping plates. A set of 100 rubber feet are included as well, to prevent damage to the crime scene.
