Mikrosil™ is a specially formulated casting material designed to give excellent rendering of small details, the highest contrast for microscopic observations, good releasing ability for the cast and a short setting time. These properties are important in cases of shallow marks and those with small details requiring large magnification. Available in multiple colors for superior contrast in any situation:

• Gray Mikrosil™ – Preferred by tool mark examiners who photograph the contrast between light-colored surfaces and shadows produced from side-lighting.
• White and Black Mikrosil™ – Provides excellent contrast when used to lift dusted latent fingerprints from rough or textured surfaces where lifting tapes may fail.
• Brown Mikrosil™ – Commonly used to cast firing pin, ejector/extractor marks, tool marks and breech face marks.

Each Mikrosil™ kit includes a tube of Mikrosil™ in your choice of color, a tube of catalyst, one book of mixing pads, ten wooden spatulas and a set of instructions.
