The FlipLight is a versatile 6-Watt UV ultraviolet lamp and is an excellent addition to any crime scene kit. Long wavelength ultraviolet light is most often used for general crime scene searches for bodily fluids and trace evidence such as fibers. Able to run off A/C power or through the integrated battery, the FlipLight is a great light for dual lab and field use. It features a unique arm which flips into a horizontal position, allowing the unit to be used hands-free use. The lamp includes two UV light bulbs. The battery operating time with the single-bulb is approximately 6 to 7 hours and 4 to 5 hours with the double-bulb and an approximately 20 hour charge time. The user can select how many bulbs are active. Battery life is extended when using a single bulb.
