Basic Yellow 40 is a fluorescent dye generally used after cyanoacrylate fuming on surfaces such as cans, leather and plastics and fluoresces well between 365nm and 485nm.
Mix approximately two grams in a liter of reagent alcohol. Mix Basic Yellow 40 with Rhodamine 6G and Ardrox to create the special solution known as “RAY.” Additional Basic Yellow 40 formulations are available in the Basic Yellow 40 Tech Note.
