Our Economy Chemical Workstation is a compact, economical method of capturing fumes and particulate matter. Built to stringent laboratory standards, this high-quality unit eliminates hazardous fumes and vapors, and conforms to all OSHA requirements. The upper portion is made from a durable epoxy-coated metal. The base section is a one-piece acrylic frame, allowing for 360° visibility. The head and the base can be easily separated if you need to move the unit or wish to store it when not in use. An external fluorescent light fixture allows for superior visibility. Inside the unit, an electrostatically charged pre-filter protects the main filter from particle contamination and collects dust as small as 0.5 microns. One pre-filter is supplied with the unit. Additional pre-filters are available separately. Primary filters must be purchased separately based on how the unit will be used. If only dry particulates will be used in the workstation, such as latent print powders, a HEPA filter should be purchased with the unit. For using liquid chemicals, dyes and stains, a Hydrocarbon filter will appropriately protect the user. A special feature of this unit is the adjustable air speed control. Air velocity can be adjusted from 0-120 fpm. An optional spill tray is available to place under the unit. The Economy Chemical Workstation features a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
