This Ductless Fume Enclosure provides safe working conditions when working with powders, chemicals and solvents. Manufactured of an epoxy-coated metal, the Ductless Fume Enclosure features a large three-piece hinged acrylic window, providing users with easy visibility without sacrificing safety. Fumes are continuously drawn into the unit and up through a through an internal pre-filter. Then, fumes are drawn into a main filter and through a final safety filter. Clean air is then exhausted from the top of the unit. No external ventilation is required. The enclosure uses HEPA High Efficiency Particulate Air filters rated at 99.99% minimum efficiency for 0.3 microns or larger, an activated carbon filter for solvent usage, or a combination of both. Two HEPA filters should be used if the unit will be used exclusively with dry elements such as latent print powders. If chemicals and solvents will be used exclusively, then two Hydrocarbon filters should be purchased. If both powders and solvents will be used, a combination of filters may be purchased and used.

An Advanced Monitor senses both hydrocarbon-output and air-velocity levels. A numeric keypad on the head section allows data input of filter type and maximum time allowance for filter use. Audible and visual alarms alert the operator when filters are blocked, incorrectly inserted or need to be replaced.
