The FTA Elute matrix is chemically treated with proprietary reagents that lyse cells upon contact, causing the release of nucleic acids. DNA is recovered from the FTA Elute matrix through a simplified elution process, using water and heat. Inhibitory components, such as hemoglobin, are retained on the FTA Elute matrix. Each card includes four small circles for application of sample. Recommended when only one sample is needed. This sample kit includes 5 FTA Elute Micro cards, one 3.0mm punch, a cutting mat and pack insert.
